Meir, is an attorney at law, licensed to practice in New York, since 1984 and in Israel since 1986. Meir acts as Of Counsel to Ben-Ami & Associates advising the firm and its patent clients on corporate and licensing matters. Meir has over 35 years of experience in representing Israel hi-tech companies, from the start-up stage through the various rounds of financing; the granting and receiving of intellectual property licenses; joint venture agreements; rendering of advice to foreign companies investing in Israel and participating in public tenders in Israel; Meir also represents clients in commercial litigation with a special expertise in cross-border disputes. .
Representative transactions handled by Meir include: Representation of the Dutch Navus Venture Fund, the investment arm of the Lely Group, in a mutli-million Dollar investment in Metomotion Ltd. an agri-robotics company; Representation of the inventor and entrepreneur of Keystone Heart Ltd. in the receiving of more than $60 million in investments from the OrbiMed venture Fund; On-going legal advice and representation of Growponics Ltd., an Israeli company specializing of in the design and operation of hydroponic greenhouses; On-going advice to NFT-New Age Automobile, Ltd., the Israeli subsidiary of the Silicon Valley company NFT, Inc. which is developing an EVTOL aerial passenger car; Establishment and representation of many start-up companies, inventor and entrepreneurs, in hi-tech, the life sciences and agri-tech fields.
